This poem was the other poem that I used for my literary analysis. This poem is called October and is also written by Robert Frost. This poem shows the beautiful side of the fall. This is my favorite exert from the poem:
O hushed October morning mild,
This exert is the beginning of the poem. The word "hushed" makes me feel relaxed and sets the mood for the poem. When I think of the fall I think of the days being shorter and a relaxed setting. When the poem progresses Frost shows the reader a harsher side of the fall.
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
Frost portrays the fall as being relaxed yet unforgiving.
